I just want to thank everyone that made it down to our auction. It turned out to be a great day, it didn’t rain and the temperature was just right. The farm seems a little strange now with no milking cows; I have never seen the milking barn empty. Uncle Claude has even taken down all of the free stalls, the conveyors will be next, along with knocking out some of the cement, it looks like it might be our new barn to store equipment in.
Mom and dad just came back today; they went down to NC to see their daughter give birth to their second grandchild. Unfortunately, they did not drive fast enough they did not get down there until lat in the evening and Samantha Ann Markle was born at 1:49 PM on September 8th, 2008 weighing in about seven pounds and eight ounces.
